The modern world has given rise to something really quite extraordinary. People have become spectators of their own lives, honed critics, always in search of something outstanding. They're always looking for the perfect thing, and they miss out on enjoying the beauty of the everyday things they already have. We've all become so used to things being complicated that we've lost the ability to enjoy the simple things. We've made relationships into a commodity, like money.
I'm just an ordinary woman, and I don't have any illusions about castles on the hills or the pursuit of luxury for the sake of luxury. I don't look for ideals that are made up and written down in books, but I do value relationships that are real and true
