Every Ukrainian woman who starts to look for husband abroad does it for her own reasons. But in spite of variety of these reasons in whole they usually include the following moments:

1. Insufficient Number of Men

Everybody knows that there are fewer men in Ukraine than women. Statistics shows that 7 men are the share of 10 Ukrainian women. This means the 3 from 10 women have to stay alone! If one consider these facts by regions and in age rate then the picture looks even more regrettable. Men dies earlier and many in young age. Men are more amendable to serious diseases from which heart diseases take the first place. Many become the victims of accidents on work. As a result in big cities at least every tenth Ukrainian women in age elder than 35 can’t find a marriage partner.

2. Bad Habits

Ukrainian men win world fame with their impetuous hard drinking. One can’t say that there is no problem of alcoholism, but it won’t get such scale. In the question of drinking we caught and left behind the USA. In Ukraine if your husband doesn’t drink he is already nearly an angel, only without wings; even with complete absence of any other merits if woman has non-drinking man she considers as lucky. Besides hard drinking majority of men has many other nice features - laziness, unfaithfulness, lack of desire for self - development - all, that Ukrainian women describe as real nightmare of family life. Of course such behavior doesn’t add attractiveness to local contingent of fiances if anything.

3. Difficult Economic Circumstances

Undoubtedly our level of living differs from Western one. For the worse, and every day more and more. Sometime it seems heroism that Ukrainian women still give birth! One should have outstanding courage to bring child to such country.
